Yeah, I am biased in this regard, being on the developer / production side of things, but I am glad that we are both sane and can appreciate the work that others do. I think things get heated when one side feels they're not being respected.

The production side of things is well revered in regards Film, where budgets can be in the millions. I think as Interactive work becomes more and more complex and essential to reach an audience that budgets go up, and hopefully, so will respect on both sides.

On the product side there is resentment at having to pump out work like a monkey for a client you have no communication with, and having to jump through hoops you sometimes disagree with, that could be solved if there was better communication and valuation of the opinion of the developer. But what some developers fail to realize, is they haven't been organizing hundreds of people, getting them all to agree upon a direction, and ironing out the idea. But what some agency folks fail to realize, is that there are a thousand more things that need to be figured out during production that if you are working with someone of quality will get figured out, but otherwise won't, and you'll end up with an unusable P.O.S. that isn't compelling at all.

They should make a facebook app to show off how much money you have...but add a couple zeros or something. BLING. Maybe tie it into how much money you could make with their stellar interest rates. Boom. I win.
